First order from this shop. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. The font runs small in this edition. Recommended with reservations.
Finally got around to ordering this. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. Five stars from me.
Ordered it for Halloween and it came in time. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. The font runs small in this edition. Still worth having on the shelf.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted.
Got it as a gift for a friend who loves the genre. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. Gorier than the description lets on, if that matters to you. Happy enough with the purchase.
Added this to the shelf next to the ones I reread. Not a jump-scare book; it gets under the skin and stays there. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. The cover feels thinner than expected. Still worth having on the shelf.
