Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with. Shipping was quick too.
Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. Glad I finally picked this up.
This has been on my wishlist for months. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Happy enough with the purchase.
Been meaning to get this one for a while. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. Not a jump-scare book; it gets under the skin and stays there. Solid, if not essential.
Grabbed it for a long flight. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. A couple of the side characters are thinly drawn. Good, with the caveats above.
