Semianimus

Smith delivers a potent blend of classic zombie tropes and psychological thriller elements by introducing a human antagonist alongside the undead. The setting of a small Irish town adds a layer of gothic isolation that enhances the sense of entrapment. While the premise is familiar, the added complication of a killer on the loose raises the stakes significantly, preventing the narrative from becoming monotonous. This book is best suited for readers who enjoy fast-paced action and moral ambiguity in their horror. It succeeds in maintaining tension through its layered threats, offering a thrilling read for those who appreciate survival scenarios with an extra edge of paranoia and immediate danger.
