Ordered it for Halloween and it came in time. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Happy enough with the purchase.
This has been on my wishlist for months. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. The font runs small in this edition. Happy enough with the purchase.
First order from this shop. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Finally got around to ordering this. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. Definitely recommend.
A friend from my book club recommended it. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. Shipping was quick too.
This has been on my wishlist for months. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. Still worth having on the shelf.
A friend from my book club recommended it. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. A couple of the side characters are thinly drawn. Solid, if not essential.
