Octology: A Terrifying Thought Per Day

Octology compiles daily reflections on horror media, fake emergencies, winter darkness, and global instability through a Rune lens. The author draws upon recent observations of horror-adjacent media, including both fabricated and genuine emergency scenarios. These modern anxieties are filtered through the lens of Rune traditions to examine the darkening nights of winter and the broader state of the world. Each entry offers a distinct perspective on these themes, blending contemporary dread with esoteric interpretation. The book is organized as a daily companion for readers seeking consistent engagement with fearful subjects. Cory structures the content to encourage regular contemplation of global instability and seasonal gloom. This format suits those who appreciate short, intense bursts of supernatural fiction grounded in real-world tension. It may not appeal to readers looking for traditional narrative arcs or historical horror settings. The work stands as a unique intersection of personal observation and mystical tradition. Cory’s approach relies on the immediate impact of daily reading rather than long-form storytelling. The inclusion of Rune symbolism provides a specific framework for understanding current events through an ancient, fearful perspective. Readers interested in the convergence of modern emergency scenarios and gothic atmosphere will find value here. Those preferring clear resolutions or optimistic endings might find the tone too persistent. The text remains focused on the intersection of observed reality and supernatural interpretation.
