Got it as a gift for a friend who loves the genre. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks. The cover feels thinner than expected.
Grabbed it for a long flight. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. Gorier than the description lets on, if that matters to you. Recommended with reservations.
Needed a good scare and got one. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. Would buy from this store again.
Grabbed it for a long flight. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. If you like this kind of cooking, don't hesitate.
I read a lot of horror and I'm picky. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one.
