Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. My only quibble is that the middle third sags a little. Good, with the caveats above.
Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. Great value for what you get.
A friend from my book club recommended it. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. A keeper.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with. Highly recommend.
Got it as a gift for a friend who loves the genre. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with. Good, with the caveats above.
First order from this shop. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. The font runs small in this edition. Good, with the caveats above.
First order from this shop. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks. Glad I finally picked this up.
