The novel effectively merges splatterpunk aesthetics with gothic dark fantasy, creating a distinct tone that is both acidic and regenerative. It succeeds in its goal of linguistic rebellion, using shock to critique societal norms and esoteric organizations. The protagonist serves as an effective vehicle for exploring surreal political and spiritual landscapes without adhering to conventional horror tropes. This work is best suited for readers who enjoy transgressive fiction and are unbothered by explicit content or moral ambiguity. It offers a fresh, albeit extreme, take on detective noir infused with cosmic and psychological horror elements, appealing to those who value boldness over traditional narrative comfort.
