This has been on my wishlist for months. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. My only quibble is that the middle third sags a little. Good, with the caveats above.
Got it as a gift for a friend who loves the genre. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Added this to the shelf next to the ones I reread. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. The font runs small in this edition. Recommended with reservations.
