Wanted something for October and it delivered. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not.
Needed a good scare and got one. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. My only quibble is that the middle third sags a little. Still worth having on the shelf.
Finally got around to ordering this. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Happy enough with the purchase.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. Happy enough with the purchase.
Added this to the shelf next to the ones I reread. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. My only quibble is that the middle third sags a little. Solid, if not essential.
Added this to the shelf next to the ones I reread. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. Belongs in any working kitchen.
This has been on my wishlist for months. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins.
