Fiend
A wealthy family’s demonic pact turns into a deadly civil war.
The Berishas maintain their global dominance through supernatural intervention that eliminates threats and destroys evidence. Zef teaches his children that this power is a gift, assigning Dardan the role of heir, Maris the duty of strategic marriage, and Nora the burden of invisibility. When the protective force begins to target the family itself, trust evaporates. Each sibling pursues independent schemes to secure their position or escape their fate. The narrative focuses on the psychological toll of this arrangement and the violent consequences of their secrets. Katsu utilizes a structure that reveals the mechanics of their power alongside the personal betrayals within the household. The story examines how inherited trauma and occult obligations can destroy a lineage from within.
This work sits in the contemporary horror genre, published by G.P. Putnam's Sons in 2025. It engages with modern themes of global capitalism and family dynasties, blending supernatural elements with realistic depictions of international business rivalry and internal familial conflict.
