⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
Been meaning to get this one for a while. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. One of my better finds this year.
Added this to the shelf next to the ones I reread. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins.
Took a chance on it after reading the description here. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. A couple of the side characters are thinly drawn. Solid, if not essential.

However, readers craving immediate narrative thrills or accessible modern interpretations will likely find the fragmented essays and dense correspondence tedious rather than terrifying.
