Grabbed it for a long flight. Slow burn, but the burn is the point.
Arrived quickly and well packaged. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. Glad I finally picked this up.
Needed a good scare and got one. Not a jump-scare book; it gets under the skin and stays there. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
Wanted something for October and it delivered. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. The font runs small in this edition.
