Dead Body Disposal

Jon Athan, known for Lovesick and The Groomer, presents Dead Body Disposal. This work examines the human body through extreme psychological horror. Max Baker is a thirty-one-year-old accountant who kills a prostitute in his hotel room. He loses control and cannot remove the evidence alone. He contacts his long-time friend John Kasper for assistance. Kasper feels horror and hesitation but refuses to abandon his friend when Max’s family and future are at risk. The two men devise and execute multiple plans to hide the crime. They struggle to make a dead body disappear from the twenty-ninth floor of a busy hotel. Athan invites readers to spend a night with these characters. This novel contains graphic content that requires reader discretion. The story focuses on desperation and the mechanics of concealment. It draws on the tradition of psychological horror where internal panic drives external action. The narrative structure follows the immediate aftermath of the killing. It does not use flashbacks or complex timelines but stays in the present moment of crisis. Athan uses the confined space of a hotel room to heighten tension. The text relies on dialogue and internal monologue to show Max’s distress. This approach suits readers who enjoy tight, character-driven thrillers with visceral elements. It may not appeal to those seeking supernatural ghosts or slow-burn gothic atmospheres. The book is published by Independently Published.
