Horror desk

This anthology offers a sprawling, if somewhat unfocused, tour of zombie narratives through the lens of independent publishing. While the sheer volume of contributors suggests breadth, the lack of thematic cohesion may frustrate readers seeking depth or stylistic consistency. It is not suited for those preferring classic gothic atmosphere or rigorous psychological horror; instead, it caters to fans of pulp sensibilities and genre-bending experiments. The tone shifts wildly between funny and grim, which can be refreshing or jarring depending on one's mood. Ultimately, it stands as a testament to the vitality of small press horror, providing entertainment through sheer variety rather than narrative polish. It is a fun, if uneven, addition to any shelf dedicated to eclectic genre fiction.
