⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. The font runs small in this edition. Happy enough with the purchase.
Wanted something for October and it delivered. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. Solid, if not essential.
Finished it over a stormy weekend, which helped. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it.

If you crave moody, atmospheric tales where grief intertwines with spectral mysteries, this is your next read. Fans of slow-burn gothic suspense and complex emotional landscapes will find much to love here. Conversely, those who prefer rapid-fire action, modern settings, or clear-cut solutions may find the pacing too deliberate and the ambiguities frustrating.
