This collection delivers on its promise of strange and uneasy tales, proving itself a standout issue in the Weird Horror series. It suits fans of literary horror who enjoy diverse voices tackling psychological and cosmic dread without relying on gore. However, it may not suit readers preferring straightforward jump scares or traditional ghost story tropes; the 'new weird' tone requires patience for ambiguity. It is a solid choice for those who value atmospheric tension and expert craftsmanship in horror fiction.
