Finally got around to ordering this. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. My only quibble is that the middle third sags a little. Solid, if not essential.
Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. The binding held up to being carried around for a week. Great value for what you get.
Grabbed it for a long flight. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. Highly recommend.
Finally got around to ordering this. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. The setting is practically a character, and a hostile one. The font runs small in this edition. Happy enough with the purchase.
Finished it over a stormy weekend, which helped. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks.
Wanted something for October and it delivered. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it.
Been meaning to get this one for a while. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. Recommended with reservations.
