This has been on my wishlist for months. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. Genuinely unsettling in places, and it earns it without cheap tricks.
I read a lot of horror and I'm picky. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. Happy enough with the purchase.
Finally got around to ordering this. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. Shipping was quick too.
Been meaning to get this one for a while. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
Been meaning to get this one for a while. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. It assumes some familiarity with the genre's tropes.
