Ordered it for Halloween and it came in time. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. Good, with the caveats above.
Was skeptical at first. A few scenes I will not forget, whether I want to or not. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. Would buy from this store again.
A friend from my book club recommended it. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Gorier than the description lets on, if that matters to you. Happy enough with the purchase.
Finally got around to ordering this. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. A couple of the side characters are thinly drawn. Happy enough with the purchase.
Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. Belongs in any working kitchen.
I read a lot of horror and I'm picky. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. Gorier than the description lets on, if that matters to you.
