Nefarious & Nightmarish

Meagan J Meehan presents a collection of horror stories that explore paranoia, supernatural encounters, and psychological terror. The author brings experience as a novelist, playwright, screenwriter, and stop-motion animator to these tales. Her background in the Conscious Perceptionalism art movement informs the distinct tone of each narrative. The anthology includes a paranoid truck driver who fears aliens only to find worse threats, a wealthy girl confronting a genie-like creature, and hunters who become prey. A sadistic teen discovers he is not the only monster in his community, while a security guard pursued by the grim reaper since infancy faces unexpected intentions when death finally arrives. These stories draw on gothic and supernatural traditions, focusing on strange evils and nightmares. This collection suits readers who enjoy short fiction involving psychological dread and supernatural horror. It may not appeal to those seeking long-form narratives or traditional fantasy adventures. Meehan’s work as an abstract artist and animal advocate adds depth to her storytelling approach. The book is published by Hiraethsff and offers a compact yet intense reading experience for fans of the genre.
