Took a chance on it after reading the description here. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. The prose is clean and the scares land because the characters feel real. Would buy from this store again.
Added this to the shelf next to the ones I reread. Print is comfortable for late-night reading. Some chapters are hard to read in the best possible way. Definitely recommend.
Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. The font runs small in this edition. Good, with the caveats above.
First order from this shop. The monster is scarier for how little you see of it. My only quibble is that the middle third sags a little.
Finished it over a stormy weekend, which helped. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight.
