📝 Description: Dedwadont
"A riveting and brutal sequel to Bella's Boys" - The Voracious Gnome ReviewsDEDWADONT, Eat with us in the tongue of the People of the Hills... The myths and folklore of the Haudenosaunee people are as deep and rich as the soil of the land they live on. Some say their gods still watch over the People of the Longhouse. They are not wrong. Along the shores of Lake Ontario, an ancient entity indeed protects Her herd. With the lake snows comes her hunger and a desire to cull. To the Irish immigrants she is called the Cailleach, the hag who comes with the long winter. The Norse knew her to be Loki's wife, Angrboda, the mother of monsters. The people of the Seneca and Onondaga tribes call her Honyarekowa, the Great Serpent of the Genesee river... She is all of these...

While the concept of a shape-shifting entity embodying Cailleach, Angrboda, and Honyarekowa is intriguing, the lack of plot details makes it difficult to assess narrative depth. It suits readers who prioritize mythic atmosphere over intricate plotting. However, those seeking clear character arcs or straightforward horror tropes may find the ambiguity frustrating. The brutal tone suggests a harsh reading experience, not for the faint-hearted. It stands as a niche entry in the dark fantasy shelf, valuable for its cultural synthesis but demanding patience from the audience.
