C R Jahn delivers a visceral supernatural thriller that blends occult practices with the brutalities of real-world crime. By grounding the narrative in actual events and conversations, the author creates a strikingly realistic atmosphere despite the fantastical elements involving vampires and sorcery. The inclusion of adult entertainment figures and ex-partners as central characters adds a layer of personal intensity to the hunt against a child-sacrificing cult. This raw approach suits readers who appreciate dark fantasy rooted in harsh truths over polished escapism. It is a challenging but rewarding read for those who enjoy gritty, city-based horror with significant magical components.
