Arrived quickly and well packaged. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. The audiobook crowd will want the paper copy for the margins. Glad I finally picked this up.
A friend from my book club recommended it. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. Still worth having on the shelf.
Grabbed it for a long flight. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. Definitely recommend.
Took a chance on it after reading the description here. Not a jump-scare book; it gets under the skin and stays there. The font runs small in this edition.
Finally got around to ordering this. Slow burn, but the burn is the point. Solid, if not essential.
Added this to the shelf next to the ones I reread. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. The ending is bleak and honest, not a twist for the sake of one. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
