The Bhangarh Fort was built in the seventeenth century. This fort was built by Raja Madho Singh, the younger brother of Raja Man Singh (who was then posted as commander in Akbar's army). The population of Bhangarh at that time was around 10,000. According to the belief of the people, Bhangarh Fort was built in a very beautiful and huge size. But today everything is deserted there. Except the ruins there is nothing visible. It is said that if someone tries to build a new house there, then that house collapses on its own.
