No narrative ever ends; each crawls inside its readers to decay eternally. Those readers become authors to write themselves out of existence, reading themselves into our unspooling. Presenting A Carcass of Genre, a twenty-stop tour of Jeremy Thompson's imagination, featuring all-new pieces and previously-released nightmares from publications such as Walk Hand In Hand Into Extinction, Into the Darkness, DarkFuse Magazine, Brewtality, and Year's Best Hardcore Horror Volume 2. Will you be the same after you read it? Will you be, at all?

Thompson delivers a potent collection that thrives on its refusal to let narratives end, instead having them crawl into the reader's psyche. The work excels in creating an atmosphere of eternal decay and unspooling reality, effectively blurring the lines between reader, author, and character. This approach suits best those who appreciate psychological horror and gothic introspection over jump scares or traditional plot progression. While the abstract nature may alienate casual readers, it provides a rich, disturbing reward for enthusiasts of dark fantasy and true crime-adjacent dread. The inclusion of previously released nightmares alongside new pieces offers a comprehensive view of Thompson's unique voice.
