❓ Frequently asked questions
The novel serves as the source material for the film, but it is distinctively more introspective and less visually spectacle-driven, focusing deeply on internal emotional landscapes rather than external plot mechanics.
It is not a conventional scare-fest. The terror stems from existential dread, guilt, and the chilling isolation of the soul, offering a haunting atmosphere rather than graphic horror or physical threats.
