⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. There's real craft in how much is left unsaid. It is the kind of horror that rewards reading with the lights on. A couple of the side characters are thinly drawn. Solid, if not essential.
Finished it over a stormy weekend, which helped. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. A couple of the side characters are thinly drawn. Still worth having on the shelf.
Got it as a gift for a friend who loves the genre. Not a jump-scare book; it gets under the skin and stays there. One of my better finds this year.
Not my usual subgenre but wanted to branch out. The dread is in the pacing, not in gore, which is exactly how I like it. Good introduction if you have not read this author before. Well worth it.
