⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
I read a lot of horror and I'm picky. The atmosphere builds slowly and then does not let go. Read it in two sittings; the second one ran past midnight. The font runs small in this edition. Still worth having on the shelf.
Bought this for my brother and ended up reading it first. It pairs well with the classics it is clearly in conversation with.

📖 Who should read this
If you crave deep psychological dread and complex character arcs, this is your prize. It rewards fans of slow-burn supernatural tales. However, readers seeking fast-paced action, lighthearted escapism, or those who dislike exploring the heavy aftermath of childhood trauma will likely find this narrative too somber and introspective for their taste.
